We are thrilled to see the UK Atomic Energy Authority, together with members from RINA, ENI, and RAICo, advancing the use of inspection drones for decommissioning work inside the JET torus hall at the Culham site!

"We believe drones will be a vital and enabling technology for decommissioning today and in the future," says a representative from the UK AEA.

In this video, the Elios 3 RAD is seen inspecting complex environments, capturing vital datasets, including radiation levels, LiDAR models, and visual footage. Areas like this present significant challenges for human access, making drone technology an essential tool for planning and executing decommissioning projects both today and in the future.
