In the first leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off round, Portugal’s Benfica, who will face Fenerbahçe tomorrow, has arrived in Istanbul.
The private plane carrying the Portuguese side took off from the capital Lisbon and landed at Sabiha Gökçen Airport. After completing passport control, the Benfica squad exited through the General Aviation Terminal.
The delegation, which also included Turkish international Kerem Aktürkoğlu, left the airport by bus under security measures.
Benfica’s head coach Bruno Lage and one player will hold a press conference in the evening at Chobani Stadium, where the match will take place. Benfica will finalize their preparations with a training session at the stadium and then move into camp ahead of tomorrow’s clash, which kicks off at 22:00.
