Slow your roll, Aggies!
🛴
With the rise of e-bikes and e-scooters, we've seen a fivefold increase in scooter-related crashes on campus over the past 15 months.
🚲
To keep everyone safe, please remember the speed limit in the central campus core is 15 miles per hour.
🪧
We’ve added updated posted speed limit signs as well as added new painted signage on multiple bike paths to help remind you.
Let’s look out for each other and keep our pathways safe for everyone.
More Tips for Riders:
- Always wear a helmet. You can get a free helmet through the Helmet Hair Don't Care program https://ucdav.is/HelmetHairDontCare
- More information about the campus speed limit is available here: https://transportation.ucdavis.edu/news/speed-limit
- Don’t ride on sidewalks unless signage explicitly allows it.
- Yield to pedestrians at crosswalks.
- E-scooter riders: don’t ride tandem, and remember a driver’s license is required.
- Headphones: one or none.
- Ride safe, ride sober.
- And remember, the speed limit within the main campus central core is 15 miles per hour.
