In this video I talk about the Universal Audio plug-ins that I used to get the lead guitar sound in my song, Cloud Morph.
Almost everything that I record and mix is imprinted with numerous plug-ins from Universal Audio. The UAD platform can provide nice sounds with just a few clicks, but it is a system that rewards knowledgeable tweaking and adjustment. I've been using the platform for more than a year and still consider myself to be a novice (albeit an advanced one).
I write guitar-centric music that draws from rock, funk, jazz, soul, blues, and fusion. All of my songs are recorded in a home studio, where they are also mixed and mastered. David Gilmour, Eric Johnson, Frank Zappa, Pat Metheny, George Benson, Steve Vai, Guthrie Govan, and Nick Johnston are major influences.
