Due to severe weather on July 18, many flights into and out of the Mid-Atlantic United States were delayed or cancelled. United repositioned aircraft where possible to get passengers to their destinations the following day (July 19.) UA3037 was among those flights delivering stranded passengers. However, due to Air Force One activity at EWR, UA3037 was placed into a holding pattern over central Pennsylvania. The aircraft eventually ran low on fuel and required a refueling diversion to ABE. This clip shows a portion of the approach to Allentown.
