My first ever TEA Laser was held together with gravity and glue. The ones demonstrated here are worlds away from those first attempts!The two Charge Transfer Lasers demonstrated, have high repetition rates, high output powers (peak and average) and are robust, with many thousands of shots possible before the dielectric has to be replaced.These can easily drive a Dye Laser to threshold, in fact the peak power is so high, Dyes can be Lased Superradiantly (Feedback is so high, no mirrors are needed!)

Raspberry Pi 4 Google Coral Les Lab 2019-07-02 | Another short screen cap!Got my Google Coral this morning and tried it on the Raspberry Pi 4. And the script failed with "Need To Be Root".As with the Intel Neural Compute stick, the installer needs some fixes.After a little bit of digging around at how everything works, I have edited the installation script that comes with the Coral, and now everything works just fine!I have uploaded a new install script, along with a description of the fixes here:github.com/leswright1977/RPi4-Google-CoralThe Coral works impressively well with the Raspberry Pi 4! The Device seems as fast if not faster that Intel's offering (I have not bench-marked it). What I can say for certain is that the documentation for the Coral is excellent, easier to use than the NCS2, and there is even documentation on how to retrain models.

Also sorry about the video, it was done on a screen recorder over VNC!I will fix these issues for future videos!But you can go check out the code and description here.Currently it runs with 40 fps video,around 32 fps inferencing, and a detection rate of around 100 per second on a single NCS2!This is plenty to do some sensible video image recognition.I am sure with 2 sticks this thing will really sing. No more USB2 bottlenecks!Hats of to Eben and all the folks at the Pi foundation for their new board!About OpenVINO:Intel do not appear to have released updated code yet for the RPi4, and the current code won't run on Raspbian 10 Buster without some modifications. I have detailed these here:github.com/leswright1977/RPI4_NCS2In short, it is a very ugly hack, but it will do for me for now and it is easy to implement, without days of compiling...
