Recipe ⬇️ or print: recipetineats.com/tzatziki
Nobody makes Tzatziki as good as your yiayia, but just in case you want to make one using actual measurements (rather than a little bit of this and a slosh of that, as she instructs!), here is my recipe. :) Use as a dip for vegetable sticks and warm pita bread, as a sauce for Gyros, Doner kebabs and chicken skewers, and dolloping on Greek baked chicken pieces - find all these recipes on my website! - Nagi x
---------------
Tzatziki
2 cucumbers, grated, excess water squeezed out very well
1 1/4 cups Greek yoghurt
1 tbsp lemon juice,
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 small garlic clove finely grated using a microplane
1/4 tsp salt
Pinch pepper
Mix ingredients. Set aside at least 20 minutes to let the flavours meld. Use straight away as a dip, sauce, smearing or dunking. Keeps 3 days in the fridge.
