Bone Sword and Lash Whip Replace top scything Talons, but are an across the board improvement. Devourers, Barbed Strangler, and Venom Cannon become available to replace bottom pair of scything talons, and must be upgraded during each map. However, only one ranged weapon may be used at a time.

Thermite grenades are a great supplement to any build that lacks heavy armor penetration or just needs another option for heavy clear. Its most useful on automatons and because it is able to destroy fabricators from any angle, but there are also many heavily armored enemies at higher difficulties. Terminids heavies are also susceptible to thermite, but their spawners arent reliably closed with it. Dynamite is the best grenade for closing bug holes. https://youtu.be/RWf_AuZMR-g
Currently, thermite is underperforming on the Illuminate front because it doesnt reliably stick to Harvesters. It can now also destroy warp ship spawners on the Illuminate front. (EDIT: Bug with Thermite was fixed - does it stick to harvesters now?)
On Terminids, the G-123 makes short work of chargers, can one-shot the impaler, but takes multiple thermites to kill bile titans. While it can destroy bug holes, it must be precisely thrown or it will adhere to the outer shell of the nest, and fail to destroy the hole.
