PLEASE READ: (lyrics & dialogue below)- *NOTE- this tribute contains clips of the entire season, with major spoilers (though if you know your history of the War of the Roses, it won't really be spoiled)...It's not often a show grabs me in such a way that I love all the cast & stories, but this one did, and I have added it to my fandoms I vid. :)
After watching it, I had to push this tribute up to the front. Please be patient those waiting on requests...In couples, I love Edward/Elizabeth and Richard/Anne, and other characters as well. This first vid is my tribute to the entire series, which I highly recommend watching. I have long wanted to vid this song (for years), but nothing in my fandom list fit well enough- til now. The lyrics, to me, seem to encapsulate greed and the need to be in power, along with the desire and danger to love the person forbidden -- though weakness rests within some, and many would betray those close -- friends & family -- to achieve their goals, only those with true strength will realize their dream of power in the end. In actual symbolism "grapevines" means wealth /power/good fortune -- to "climb" them to aspire to that goal. "Play the game" and similar lyrics -- this is another medieval Game of Thrones, (though based on true history, not fantasy), "the game", the plots and deceptions of would-be kings and queens to seize the kingdom and the power...I obliterated any nudity in clips, to keep this watchable for all viewers. :) I hope they go on with the story, which is one reason I ended it like I did. I'd like to see much more of that last king especially. ;-), From all I read of historical accounts, it sounds like the two at the end of my video really came to care for one another. I'd love to see their story...anyway, hope you enjoy my first vid of this amazing series...
