Two years.
Two of the absolute best years of my life with the greatest horse in the world. I am in absolute awe of this horse and how much we have changed from that first day.
The first day I tried him he was not an easy ride for me. His stride was huge, he wasn't forward, and I barely knew what I was doing. But I knew he would help me improve, and that was what I needed.
I owe everything to this horse. He has brought me farther than any other, and has given me the ability to improve and chase my dreams.
He is the most willing horse I have ever met. He gives his entire heart and soul and he'll do anything for you if you just ask. I have never trusted another horse as much as I trust him. I wish so much that I could do better by him, but I promise that I will give him the best parts of me until the day he dies.
I cannot thank him enough for the freedom, love, friendship, and commitment that he has given me these past 2 years. I have grown up so much since the day I first met him and I am so happy that he is still by my side. He has made me braver than I ever thought possible.
He is truly one special animal. There will never be another like him in my eyes. He has changed my entire life and has saved me more times than I can count.
We will never be some incredible pair that has conquered all the odds and risen to the top, but I'll never care about that. Because he's changed me and helped me become better. He's never needed me, but I have always needed him and I can't thank him enough.
Thank you for everything Black. Here's to many more years together.
