Sometimes you can try editing a video a million times over and you'll just never seem to get it right.
Because the end of beautiful things isn't supposed to feel right.
This is the last video I will make about her.
I know I just recently posted my two years gone video, but I really felt the need to make one final video.
I've decided that this is the last time I will use these clips. When I see her again in the future and potentially get new clips of course I'd use those. But after 2+ years I think it's time to finally put these memories to rest. Maybe next year I'll make a 3 years gone video, maybe not. But I know right now that its time to say goodbye to this part of my life. To stop coming back to it.
I have spent so long loving this horse and mourning the relationship and love I built for her. A part of me is still reluctant to let these clips go. Editing is a very important way for me to express my emotions and while I'll always have these clips and pictures I know it's finally time to leave them as a thing of the past. I hate that when it comes to the descriptions of these types of videos I suddenly forget everything I had to say but I'll try my best.
These memories represent such a distant part of the past in my mind. They will always be pure, unadulterated memories that I will cherish as long as I live. They go back to a time in my life where everything was new and hopeful and exciting. I think its less about Cheyenne now and more about the love I have for the memories. And the hardest part of it all is recognizing when its really time to let things go and move on for good.
I still remember when I thought up my channel name, and it was all because of Cheyenne. A week after I lost her I went on short trip and on the way home I found myself looking at the stars while thinking about her and the whole PaintingOurStars thing just clicked. She'll always be a part of me no matter what.
Cheyenne, my dearest friend, I know you are happy now. I know you will be loved forevermore. Thank you for being the first horse I ever loved. I can't thank you enough for being everything that you were to me. I know in my heart that its finally time to let it all go. Thank you for everything that we built, for letting me see the potential of everything I could become with you by my side. Moving forward, I hope to become the rider I always hoped to be for you.
I'll see you sometime soon, my beautiful mare. I wouldn't forget you in this life or any other.
