Deborah Reiter, administrative director in the UCSF School of Medicine Dean’s Office, dedicates her time outside of her busy day job to making a difference in the lives of staff, making her an obvious choice for the 2024 Chancellor Award for Exceptional University Service.

“We’re here supporting the physicians, scientists and educators, and I think they’re all doing amazing things because we’re there doing the support work to make that happen,” she said. Deborah has worked in the dean’s office for more than 20 years and has served under four different deans.

She has been a mentor for the Administrative Management Professionals program for many years and has contributed countless hours to Staff Assembly.

The UCSF Founder’s Day Awards celebrate the outstanding service of faculty, staff and learners to the University and to our community in fulfillment of our mission of advancing health worldwide.
