A large Beech blank was given to me by Paul, a fellow member of the Avon and Bristol Woodturners club. The idea was I would core it on YouTube. BUT it was badly split 22 splits in total 2 of which spanned the blank and went most of the way through.
So it was not safe to core it!
So a year on, I filled the cracks with resin to glue it together and cored it!
Cheap Laser guide for the Woodcut coring system:- youtube.com/watch?v=D5RulrgyA1s N.B. Don't use cat toys that was a joke!! cheap laser pens can be bought easily
woodturners.uk worth a look if you are a UK turner who wants a website.
