Composed yesterday- my 27th birthday; played on my brand-spanking-new-deached-to-me ukulele :) It's a concert uke made by Lori Espanol- spruce top, curly maple sides and back, bridge & fretboard are walnut. Lovely sound to it- and beautiful paua shell inlay.

surrounded by promise
fingers touch rainbows

at peace with today

soft but not stifled
patient in triumph

made up of blue light
vibrant & true

I'm assured of tomorrow
intent on evolving
gathering wisdom

I'm cradled in moonlight
wrapped in its cadence
defining my fate

I've come too far for you to break me

I'm a part of forever
a child of awareness
I shine with ambition

I'm marking my name down
standing my own ground
but not scared to run

I've come to far for you to shame me
