Talk4Healing, a helpline promoting mental health and well-being for Indigenous women, will expand its service across Ontario. To discuss what this means, The Agenda welcomes Robin Haliuk, Talk4Healing supervisor for Beendigen, a counselling service for Indigenous women, and Dr. Dawn Lavell-Harvard, the Ontario Native Women's Association board president.
The federal government accepted the findings of the national inquiry into missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls in 2019, yet Canada has failed to deliver on its commitments to fulfil the inquiry's recommendations.
