Well, better late than never, right hombres?
I've ditched After Effects and I'm taking this opportunity to dive into blender and Resolve. It's going to take me a minute to get my bearings in these programs so please be patient, the mind warping visuals will be had by all. For now I'm following tutorials and trying to make sense of these applications. More about my journeys in the next video. Let's talk about this track Falling by TVLI coming to us via Black Hole Recordings.
TVLI is an electronic musician coming to us from Santa Barbara. Listening to the "In Momentum" album (link below) reminds me of why I splurged on decks and vinyl when I was just a youthful robot. Wonderful progressive and melodic grooves that are just begging to be mixed into a set or playlist. I highly recommend giving it a listen in it's entirety.

Mind your epilepsy on this one folks, went a bit wilder than anticipated with the flashing colors and whatnot. Today I have a tune for you to checkout from New Orleans based producer PAYOUT called Blink and its a free download, dont think weve had one of those in a minute. I picked this track because I am loving all the sound design choices going on here. Bass is awesome, perky little melodic bits are amazing and those drums hit like a welcome punch to the face... wait does that even make sense? Very cool little glitch tune here for you to check out called Milos from JNATHYN. Slamming beat and I love all the little odd syncopated chopping and cutting going on, kept me interested for sure. Todays track Icicles comes to us from Pennsylvania based producer MARCØ. I really liked the melancholic vibes from this one and that cool vox effect on the vocals really fuses well with the rest of the track imo. We also cant overlook that plump beat that carries the track through all the sorrowful sound design. awesome stuff.

Ive got another fire track from Elènne for you to check out today called King of Thebes and man, this ones on anther level. You probably know just as well as I do that vocal modulation and chopping got pretty played out over the last few years ago. Its a technique that I feel was used and abused by a lot of producers especially after the Skrillex era. However, Elènne has fully mastered the technique and breathed fresh life into it for me. Plus the overall vibe of this track is just off the charts for me, its so stylish I feel like I need to throw on a tie. Let me know what you hombres think of this one, would love to hear from you.
