If you have a USB Flash Drive that is missing its full capacity that you know used to be there but suddenly has gone away, chances are your suffering from having a bad partition size.
This problem masks itself in windows making windows think the drive is at full capacity so you can not format it to get back the space.

But fear not there is still an easy, free way to fix this from inside Windows without downloading or using any 3rd party tools or applications.

We will be doing this with Diskpart and I will take you step by step through the entire process so that you can follow along and fix your problem.

Note this same guide works for all removable media like SD Cards, MicroSD Cards, Compact Flash, Etc.
