In this video I’m making two custom resin pens from scratch! I poured both blanks using Alumilite Clear Slow resin combined with Eye Candy Pigments mica powders to get some awesome color effects.
The blanks were cast in my Jakeblanks silicone molds (available at Jakeblanks.com), and I turned both pens on my Harvey T60S wood lathe using Easy Wood Tools negative rake carbide tools.
For the final finish, I sanded to 400 grit, then used Yorkshire Grit Original followed by Yorkshire Grit Microfine for that super-smooth, glossy shine.
