After Effects Beta just got a serious 3D material upgrade.
In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to use Layers as Materials and apply 3D Materials directly to Text & Shape layers, opening up some very interesting new possibilities with the Advanced 3D renderer. We’ll texture, experiment, push things a little too far, and see what these new tools can actually do in a real project.
No, After Effects isn’t replacing Cinema 4D or Blender. But it just got a lot more interesting.
