Starting a fire with a Firefly ferro rod that fits neatly into your Victorinox Swiss army knife is... well, not always as easy as YouTube makes it look! This video contains my painfully realistic demonstration of the Tortise Gear Firefly ferro rod...
But the thing about starting a fire is that it really isn't mostly about catching the tinder on fire - it's at least partially about keeping the fire going!
Lumencraft has a great video on this general topic!

If you want to buy these products, they do seem very high-quality but they are also rather expensive. The links below are to Amazon listings which are affiliate links - If you purchase from them the channel may get a small donation.
While you're there you probably should go to the main page for Tortoise Gear because they have different styles and different sizes to choose from. Be sure you get the correct size for your Swiss army knife. But be aware that, as far as I know, the large size Firefly does not fit into a Rangergrip correctly. I just jam it in anyway and it stays, but it does not go in all the way. The smaller Firefly might... The large Firefly is the correct one for 91 mm knives.

Helix tinder goes in the corkscrew. I used it in the video, which may not be a great marketing video for Tortise gear!
