I've solved some of the problems in the circuit in the past few hours, mainly the two oscillators locking onto each other when they're close together in frequency (i.e. a low note). It's not perfect but it's a huge improvement.

The next thing I need to do is work out some sort of exponential converter for the frequency response. Currently, the voltage input causes a linear change in the frequency. Music runs on a logarithmic scale so I have to convert it. I'm not sure how I'd do that with tubes.
