TSUBASA HORI (Kyoto, 2025)

It’s Indrė who told me about her - as usual, the Lithuanian knew exactly where to locate me, and connect me - this time with her friend Tsubasa, also Antwerp-based but passing some time in her native Japan when am around.
We exchanged a bit on the phone but we kept it simple - and found a unique garage on the outskirts of the city, with a massive taiko drum ready for us.
We all made it in one take - a beautiful movement from her bells and loops to a sudden and wild taiko moment.
