Akihiro managed to avoid his parents after arriving home from school. Shutting himself in his room, it was his sister that noticed first that he wasn’t acting his usual self. After Chinami knocked several times on her younger brother’s door, to no avail, she informed her parents instead, hoping they could help the situation. Bokuto offered to try and speak with him.

Bokuto entered Akihiro’s room nearly silently, giving him quite the scare. Fortunately, that sudden fear was quickly distinguished Bokuto’s warm smile and comforting voice, opposed to the wide grin and booming words. It took a bit, but Akihiro finally told Bokuto what had been bugging him.

Bokuto listened quietly as his son told the entire story. After finishing, Bokuto pondered on his wording choice. He settled by telling Akihiro the opposite of what he’d been told at school. “You’re beautiful.”

He hadn’t expected the words to turn into an argument. Unfortunately, it did. Luckily, it didn’t last long. Akihiro was still doubtful, but his suspicions were lessening the more he heard it. He finally fell into his father’s arms as he repeated the words to him once more.

“You’re beautiful.”
