We're winding down the season here! Today will be one of my last hive checks for the year. I'm going to feed the girls a special syrup mixture so they'll go into their winter dormancy strong. I'll also take a quick peek at the bottom board to see if there are any more hive beetles.

Welcome to my second year of keeping bees, where I plan to learn even more about raising pollinators and maybe even get a little honey in the process.
