After some NES and Mega Drive / Genesis experimentation, Here's another Master System remix. This time, a PSG remix of the first stage (Far Away) from Truxton, plus the game's intro (Brave Man). I wanted to do something with this theme for a long time and finally got to transscribing it. Truxton (Tatsujin in Japanese) was an arcade game, that also came out for the PC Engine (TurboGrafx 16) and the SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive as a launch title. This remix is based on the 16 bit Genesis verison. Because it lacked percussion, I created a percussiontrack by myself. (Don't be too harsh with me. I suck at percussion). If the percussion bothers you, please comment. I could make one with the PCE version's. For the remix, I used LMMS and Drunken Jesus' Master System PSG soundfont aswell as the Ultimate 8bit soundfont by Cinos Modnar. The track was transscribed by ear and no midi has been slapped or abused... I also made an Master System FM version. That version will release a day after this one. I hope, you can enjoy both soon!
I also wanted to make the video more visually pleasing and used Blender mroe extensively. As usual, I created a custom Master System Boxart (Based around R-Type and the european Truxotn boxart) and animated it in Blender. Adding to that, I remodelled (by eyeballing) the TI SN76489 (The PSG sound chip) and added it as an animation to make it look more interesting. I also did this with the YM2413, which will be visible in the other video.
