After a long hiatus, I'm finally back with another video and it feels awesome!
I guess, 16 bit Sega covers are probably what I enjoy doing the most.
As you can guess, this is my interpretation of a Genesis / Mega Drive rendition of the title theme from The Legend of Zelda on the NES.
This remix draws major inspiration from the Famicom Disk System (FDS) version, which is notable by the use of bells.
It's also the first time I'm using Genny, a Genesis / Mega Drive based VST, which is much better than soundfonts. This should also improve my future videos a lot.
The visuals were also a ton of work this time. I used elements of the original NESversion and the SNES Satelliview port "BS Zelda". The artistry with this was to adapt it to the Genesis' / Mega Drive's higher resolution and lower colour pallette and add details like dithering. Also pallete swaps for the transitions and animations. Similarly, I put a lot of effort into modelling a TV and a new game case model, to improve my video quality. I hope it shows.
The tools I used were LMMS for music, Gimp for 2D artwork and Blender for modelling, rendering and video editing.
The Legend of Zelda and subsequent music belongs to Nintendo, who already got this claimed before it was even uploaded. Doesn't really change anything for me though. Still, my classical disclaimer:
I claim no ownership over the work, this was based on. This is merely a cover / remix.

![Sonic the Hedgehog (8 bit) - End Credits - NES remix
[Individual descriptions coming later]
I tried to make those awesome music tracks sound a bit like they were on the NES. Well... I used GXSCC, but I exactly followed the rule of two triangle waves, one pulse-square wave and one white noise channel.
