US President Donald Trump confirmed that he secretly switched planes because of a threat to his life.

The Washington Post reported that the US president was smuggled out of Air Force One and onto a different aircraft on a catering truck because of worries over reports of a potential Iranian assassination threat.

Speaking to reporters, Mr Trump said he was "not surprised" by the potential threat to his life.
