A historical disaster drama based on the true story of the 1952 U.S. Coast Guard rescue mission. When a powerful nor’easter splits two oil tankers off the coast of Cape Cod, leaving dozens of sailors stranded on the sinking SS Pendleton, Coast Guard officer Bernie Webber is ordered to lead a small wooden lifeboat with only three crew members into the raging storm. Despite overwhelming odds, freezing conditions, and towering waves, Webber and his men manage to locate the broken vessel and rescue 32 sailors, bringing them back safely in what is remembered as one of the most daring and heroic rescues in Coast Guard history.
