Although James Cameron's film True Lies was a big success in 1994 it has gone on to be, arguably, his least talked about movie. The movie was a fun spy romp and being old and reasonably popular was obviously a prime candidate for an unwanted, not-needed remake just like everything else.
With its light-heared take on gender roles the film dealt with issues that make it a prime candidate for a "modern audiences" deconstruction and the new True Lies delivers all the Joss-Whedon-from-Wish LA girl babbling and insufferable girl-bossing that you would expect from every single TV/streaming show made in the last five years.
Insufferable and incompetently made on every level, True Lies is guaranteed bad for your health.
