this has been in the works for a while, and now it’s done and i’m IN LOVE. this is so gorgeous, a massive THANK YOU to everyone who participated!! the parts are all super creative and dark and nicely twisted, i LOVE the casts and the whole atmosphere of this is absolutely amazing.

it’s my favourite time of the year - secret santa season over at @darkstarstudios1556 ! this year, i got to make a video for the phenomenal @10thea01 with her excellent wishlist and taste!
thea, i’m so impressed by your skills and storytelling and aesthetics and the sheer creative force of you, so this was scary. (my first attempt was to use some of your ocs, but my time unfortunately wasn’t enough for the series i didn’t know…)
but i hope i got some of it right? i tried to combine your favourite actors/fandoms on the list with some of the tropes there - original story, dark & twisted supernatural, (if you squint) angsty love, … and while they don’t share scenes bc of time and story constraints, amita & dev exist in the same place so we can just pretend they’re a pair?

›› story (approximately; with mild spoilers):
in the search of darker powers, the king (jrm) is willing to even sacrifice his illegitimate daughter (yen) and her mother - and instead brings a curse upon his family and his land, transforming himself and his children. his son (lorenzo), desperate for his love, tries to please his father despite the darkness the king caused him. meanwhile, the queen sees what her husband has become, and sends her loyal knight (lan) away with yennefer. the queen dies. the king grows ever more paranoid. the prince’s wife sees the evil and tries to protect her husband from it.
meanwhile, yen and lan find refuge with her half-sister (naya) and some friends. she knows how dangerous her powers are now, and that the king is to blame. even though her half-brother is hunting her, she tries to join forces with him.
in the end, they all get their revenge.

the lovely elena won a small bidding contest (i’m still baffled there even was one for me) for a video by me and wished for a vid of her original characters. she has described it to me as star wars meets game of thrones meets pain, and you know what? im in xD
thank you so much for bidding! and for providing a short list of songs to pick from, i might have despaired otherwise haha. i hope you like this semi-aesthetic take on your ensemble cast from the moondust trilogy and it brings you some joy!

› what is vidders united?
vidders united is a project where vidders could offer up something (colourings, videos, scene packs...) in exchange for a donation to the BLM movement/a charity related to BLM. the whole project raised over $12,000 for the cause !
(i offered several videos, a collab, and colourings. frankly, i am still absolutely floored that not only did someone take the opportunity at all, but every opportunity i offered to request a vid/let was taken. every single one. and there was a small bidding race in the last hour of the project. im?? thank you, everyone.

hi guys!
i realise that its been quite a while since ive last uploaded a proper video - ive been busy with the ypiv (the two volumes are nearly done!) as well as tons of mep parts as usual. when i realised that its nearly been two months since my last vid, i thought i could upload a little something i made yesterday and that im actually rather fond of. the song is so super beautiful, and i tried to go for an ~aesthetic more than a linear story. basically, the founders era is underappreciated imo and should be vidded more, with more diverse and original fancasts, with the lore of that time alongside the romantic relationships that people usually focus on, and just, i get the feels.
(i mean, druid magic and no statute of secrecy and possibly wandless magic and elemental magic and swordfights and fairytales and co-existing with magical creatures and ??? )
i shall return soon with other things! (a ypiv, hopefully.)
