Alright guys, for those of you who are confused about the title of this video, please read.^^
Troll Metal is actually Folk Metal with a twist of comedy and evil at the same time, kind of like an evil circus. It’s really hard to explain, you need to hear it in order to understand. xD Anyway, why I call it “Troll” metal is because all the songs I write in this style are songs in which I tell stories about trolls. And by trolls I mean the mythological creatures from Norse mythology, not internet trolls.^^ So Troll Metal is not a real genre, it’s actually a kind of sound the band Finntroll originally brought into the world but they themselves don’t refer to their music as such.
I haven’t released any “Troll Metal” songs since almost 4 years I think, so I wouldn’t be surprised if most of you don’t recognize the name or music style, at least not from me. But it is something I always liked to compose because it’s a genre where you can really go crazy in a creative way, there are almost no limits to what you can do with these types of songs because their essence is chaos. It’s also something good to relax and to do something that’s not 100% serious all the time, as you can see by the song title here. xD
