This album release is something really special, because it's the first time I co-release something with another artist. Some of you may know him already, but for those who don't:
Lukasz Kapuscinski is a guitarist from Poland who has made fantastic covers of my Celtic songs on the acoustic guitar for several years now. We became friends during that time and decided after a while to gather his cover songs and then release them in an album together with a shared revenue from the sales. This is the result, and we hope very much that you enjoy this album! =)
Now, there is an important note:
Unfortunately, despite trying our best, we couldn’t find any convenient way to co-release one album. iTunes and also other websites cited that if an identical album is released by two different artists, one or even both of them will be taken down. So since that was not possible anymore we agreed to release two separate albums to be able to share the revenue (coming from the purchases). So Lukasz and I are releasing in fact 2 SLIGHTLY different albums to avoid them getting deleted, and here is the key difference between them:
The core of both releases are identical 10 songs, which are the Celtic Guitar covers that Lukasz has also uploaded to his YouTube channel. These 10 tracks are on both albums, identically.
The difference is the 11th bonus song - each album contains ONE EXTRA UNIQUE SONG. The other minor distinctions are slightly different cover artworks and album names. So, the album cover you see depicted here is the cover that is only displayed for my album, Lukasz’ cover is very similar but not the same. In my version the album name is "Celtic Guitar: Dance with the Strings" and Lukasz’ version is "Dance with the Strings".
We want to really focus on this point: We are releasing this album in two versions because it was necessary. We don’t want to trick people into buying the same thing twice. That’s why: Buy (if you want of course^^) the full album from whoever you choose and then if you want the bonus song that is exclusive on the other version buy that song separately, single. That way you won’t pay twice for the whole thing. Single songs are also possible to download.
The last song you hear in this album, Follow the Hunt, is also quite unique because it's the first time I've made a Celtic song with another musician. Lukasz and I already decided that we will continue our collaboration and Follow the Hunt can give you kind of a first impression into what we will create together in the future.
