Figure Note:
Stop-Motion Transformation of Trojan Horse TH-01 Hurricane. Clever little figure but very fiddly. I very carefully show the shoulder pads rotated 180d wrong. They are correct on the final turn-around. There are many steps that won’t work if you don’t get the previous step correct.
Of particular note is getting the shoulders to rotate enough to allow those cockpit window sections to extend the little ball joint to fit into the cockpit. Most things are a matter of knowing which way to orient a part, and hopefully this series of pictures will help. Also, mine came with the main door panels installed on the wrong arms. Once I swapped them it came together much better. The clue was those little yellow triangles on the doors weren’t matching up with the yellow stripes on the sides of the helicopter.

Production Note: It could be quite difficult here and there to get everything else to stay still while trying to do a movement. I very carefully show the shoulder pads rotated 180d wrong. They are correct on the final turn-around. There are many steps that won’t work if you don’t get the previous step correct. No animation on this one. I wasn’t confident I could get him to turn his head without everything being thrown out of alignment. Plus I would have had to glue his feet down and it would not have looked very clean. Better to have a nice clean 360.

If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using your , and . keyboard keys to advance by single frames. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.
