A playthrough of Acclaim's 1991 arcade-style action game for the NES, Trog.
This video shows the entire game being finished in a single credit. No warps were used.
Trog was a 1990 Midway arcade title that featured cycloptic cavemen ("trog"lodytes) who mill about trying to eat the player's dinosaur as it scours the fifty stages for lost eggs. It's like PacMan, but with a lot more chaos, violence, and humor.
Though things have been cut down from the original arcade game - the claymation graphics have been replaced with traditional spritework and two playable characters have been removed - the gameplay remains extremely faithful, and the graphics are great by NES standards. The brutal death animations are especially fun.
Trog isn't a terribly hard game, but it does push back enough that you probably won't get the best ending the first time you play, and it's a whole lot of fun. If you want something polished and a bit quirky, Trog is an excellent arcade-to-NES conversion that's well worth picking up.
