Bill Schlegel | Trinitarian or Deity of Christ believer, Please explain Matthew 24:36 @billschlegel1 | Uploaded July 2021 | Updated October 2024, 8 hours ago.
If Jesus is God, or if God is a Trinity, how could the Son not know the day of his return?
Did Jesus really know, but didn't tell the apostles, i.e., did he lie? Or does Jesus have two minds, one mind that did know, and one that didn't? One mind speaks here, not knowing that his other mind really does know?
Why would the Father, one member of a godhead, have information, and withhold the information from other members of a coeternal, co-omniscient godhead?
And where is the 3rd person, the Holy Spirit, who did not limit himself by taking on a human nature. Why doesn't he know about the day or hour of that day?
Isn't knowing that there is one God, the Father, and that Jesus is the human Messiah, a much better way to understand Jesus's words?
