Trimming a Bee Happy slip mug. I leave my Drippy Slip pieces on the batt inserts until they're dry enough to just pop off (with a little wiggling of the tile if necessary), which is a great way to avoid the difficulty of wiring off without distortion.
I used my new fireside.clayworks trimming tool to remove a little clay from the inside of the foot, but I don't throw these with a thick base so there isn't much to remove. Then I burnish smooth, and define the edge of the foot ring using a ball tool.
Then add a spiral detail to the middle of the base, and use the laser level to line up my logo stamp with the handle.
