Continuing my quest to photograph the Trig Points in the Brecon Beacons - this week it's Garreg yr Ogof on the Black Mountain - referred to many as the Carmarthen Fans. It's a trig I have visited previously, many years ago whilst doing a big circular route starting in the Tawe Valley at Tafarn y Garreg. Today's route I start at the Car Park near the village of Llanduessant and approach via the wonderful Llyn y Fan Fach before going across open wet boggy ground before ascending to the trig. Garreg yr Ogof translates to Stone of the cave and it sits on a limestone outcrop. There is a cave entrance there but I have not found it on my visits.
