I venture & explore some of the hidden gems of Clydach Gorge in the Cwm Nant area of the gorge. I call this the phreatic zone as nearby Ogof Clogwyn has some fine examples of this shelving. With my friend Bill we reccy a route one day & return the following day with our cameras, tripods and filters. Full of amazing rock strata and mosses you will only find in this place of special scientific interest. Words like phreatic & bryophytes will have geologists & botanists putting this place on their radar and its a honeypot for some of the best caving in the UK. It's a place that is best visited with another person as it's a pretty dangerous place but worth your time.
