Tonight we’re checking out Swaddle — a psychological indie horror game where you work the night shift in a maternity ward, watching for strange anomalies before something evil reaches the newborn babies. Sounds simple enough… until the game completely turns against us.
At first, the rules seem clear: anomalies only count if they appear inside one of the four baby rooms. Easy. Earlier in the game we even found a monster in the bathroom eating a baby and correctly marked it as NOT an anomaly because it wasn’t in one of the maternity wards.
Then over 20 levels later the game pulls the exact same thing again… except this time it FAILS us for following its own rules.
Between falling through the map, creepy hospital atmosphere, terrifying creature encounters, and one of the most rage-inducing rule contradictions I’ve seen in a horror game, this playthrough went completely off the rails.
If you enjoy indie horror games, anomaly hunting, psychological horror, and watching me slowly lose my mind at broken game logic, you’re gonna love this one.
