Here is a Cambridge Engineering Entrance ENGAA Exam 2022 Solutions on Question 19 on ENGAA Section 2.
You can find the original paper here: undergraduate.study.cam.ac.uk/sites/www.undergraduate.study.cam.ac.uk/files/publications/engaa_2022.pdf
Please note that these are not official solutions just my take on the solution and other easier methods may exist, do let me know if you find one!
The question is a combination of conservation of momentum and projectile motion and has to be tackled without a calculator.
Hope you enjoy this one! It is also excellent preparation for the PAT Exam for Oxford, the NSAA for Cambridge and similar entrance exams and can also be used as a challenge for A Level studies and similar courses such as AP Physics, IB Physics etc.
