Because of this, her mother enrolled her in dance lessons to keep her busy and develop coordination. Abigail immediately loved dance and would go on to study ballet, tap, and jazz from age five to eighteen.
Another thing she took to naturally was providing the entertainment for her large family. From a young age, Ratchford would put on shows by standing on chairs and using a mop as her microphone.
