Building a table from scratch and going for a more rustic appearance. I leave the surface of the wood rough cut and lightly sanded. I do some traditional joinery on the parts of this table that need it. (not everywhere, however... still got to make time and dollar on this). For the finish, I do a coat of age juice (vinegar + steel wool solution) then clear coat with water based poly and then 2-3 coats of paste wax, then crammed into a tiny trailer for delivery.
