Val (Kevin Bacon) and Earl (Fred Ward) are thrown from their horses, which are attacked by the tentacles of the monster. The two men flee with the monster in pursuit. The chase ends when the creature crashes through the concrete wall of an aqueduct, dying from the impact. Rhonda LeBeck stumbles onto the scene.
