your5best | TREEHOUSE VINEYARDS - Best Things to Do in Charlotte, North Carolina @freshishealthy | Uploaded July 2019 | Updated October 2024, 21 hours ago.
A scenic 30-minute drive south from downtown Charlotte, you'll discover Treehouse Vineyards, a cozy, local-owned vineyard producing great-tasting wines and hosting unforgettable events. The property features three treehouses for adults, including 'Date Night' (not in this video), 'Papas Dream' (swing beneath house), and 'Horsefeather's Hideaway' (wrap-around porch). The latter two can be reserved for overnight stays.
They first planted the first grape vines in 2005. This Muscadine grape is native to North Caroline and Treehouse remains committed to growing their wines organically. That's probably why six of their wines have won nationally recognition, including 'Sunset Hills' and (our favorite) 'Sweet Union'.
Come get a fascinating tour with wine expert, Phillip Nordan, and meet the magnanimous event manager, Torie Manning. If you're lucky enough, you'll even get to chat with the most interesting wine lover in the Carolinas, Tim McBride.
There's live music every Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the summer months. We made it to their Winestock Festival and it was one of the most memorable days of our entire trip.
We definitely suggest that you visit and, if you can't for a while, make sure you join their wine club online and they'll deliver to your door. You can check out their website here: treehousevineyards.com
