What if loneliness led you to build something that helped thousands of people?
In this video I sit down with the amazing Janice Moth, someone I first met through her sister Claire back when we both lived in Michigan in 2007. Years later, it was Janice who first told me about Langkawi in Malaysia, and I couldn't have been happier when she headed back to Southeast Asia!
But here's what makes this conversation so special. Janice knows loneliness better than most. Back in 2017, sitting at Kuala Lumpur airport after a 10-month trip around Southeast Asia, she reflected on how lonely she'd felt at times, and decided to do something about it. That moment gave birth to The Glamour Club, launched on World Mental Health Awareness Day 2018, and her groundbreaking CLAW — Curing Loneliness At Work — workshops.
We talk honestly about travel, solo life, loneliness, and the things we don't always say out loud. Whether you're on the road, living abroad, or simply feeling disconnected, this one's for you.
