Created in the wake of the tragic murder of transit operator Shawn Yim in December, this new task force is focused on safety and security both aboard transit for riders and operators, and in areas around transit.
The task force includes city leaders, public safety officials, transportation stakeholders, transit agency representatives, and King County representatives. A report is due in September 2025.
