In this video we take a brief ride on the Toronto Transit Commissions route 44 Kipling South which runs north and south along Kipling avenue between Kipling Station and Lakeshore. This route runs during most of the day, 7 Days a week. The 44 is run by TTC’s Queensway Bu Garage and uses 40 foot buses.
7912 is a 2006 Orion VII Diesel and is part of an 80 Unit order (7900-7979). These were TTC’s first low floor buses ordered with Cummins diesel engines and one of the last original Orion VII fleets purchased by the TTC. These units use a Cummins 8.3L EPA2004 280HP Turbocharged Diesel engine (ISL), and an Allison world automatic 6 speed transmission (B400R6). These units have American Seating Model 6468 seats, and driver controlled heating and cooling.
