In this video we take a ride on Mississauga Miway’s Route 38 Creditview, which runs North and South on Creditview road between Cooksville Go Station and Meadowvale Town Centre Bus Terminal (using a few other roads along the way as well). Route 38 runs 7 days a week almost 24 hours a day, and is based out of Miway’s Central Parkway Garage. This route also uses standard 40 foot transit buses.
1902 is a 2019 Novabus LFS HEV, and is part of a 10 unit order (1901-1910). These units were the second fleet of hybrids purchased by Miway, almost 10 years after the first. They’re currently the only Novabus Hybrids in the fleet, and are quite unique. They’re powered by a Cummins 6.7L EPA 2019 Clean Diesel Turbocharged engine (B6.7), and a BAE Series Hybridrive 200 Extended range (Series E-R). 1902 is the only unit in the fleet without the acceleration limited, which makes these units quite sluggish when taking off from a stop. These units use 4ONE Gemini seating, & automatic passenger heating and cooling. These are the only units built by Novabus to feature the new “high visibility” package in Miway’s fleet.
