We’ll be carrying out essential maintenance and renewal work on our Tramway at the start of 2025. 🚎
The work on our tramcars and infrastructure, which is vital for the long-term running of The Tramway, will take place from January to March. During this time our trams won’t be able to run due to the level of work taking place, and we’ll have a full bus service in operation for visitors throughout this period.
The work includes rail welding, sleeper renewal, overhead line maintenance, tramcar overhauls, and lineside vegetation management—all vital for the safety and long-term preservation of The Tramway.
Our dedicated Tramway maintenance team are already working hard behind the scenes on this extensive programme to ensure everything is ready for a full reopening by Easter.
Thank you for your patience and support as we carry out these improvements. We’re committed to preserving and enhancing The Tramway for generations to come.
