Forest Hill is a fantastic station for trainspotting, served by the London Overground Windrush line and Southern services. It lies on the London Bridge portion of the Brighton Main Line, and hence sees many fast Thameslink and Southern services emanating from London Bridge passing through.
I spend just over an hour here at Forest Hill. There was never a dull moment here, with the sheer volume of colourful trains passing through. The northbound platform here offers the best vantage point, the sweeping curves at either end of the station allow for some great photographs, and means this may be one of the best stations on this section of line.
